Sandakan is beautiful

It’s really beautiful here, fluffy white clouds and endless blue skies. We spent the weekend checking out the proboscis monkeys and yesterday with the orang utans at the sepilok sanctuary.

Today will check out a bit more of sandaka before heading to the airport for a flight to kk. Then a nice seafood lunch at kk i hope.

It’s been great so far, no pics yet tho. Am blogging from my phone. Update again soon if i can.

Nice. Are you planning to conquer the Kinabalu peaks as well?

It sounds like you have a really special time I tried to imagine how it would be like to be there and it sounds like an experience I would enjoy. Love to see photos when you are back to your computer.

I was in Sabah last year April… I like Sabah so much despite of the leeches… Sandakan have a nice seafood place… I spent 9 days in total covered Mabul-Sipadan Island, Lahad Datu, Danum Valley and Sandakan (spent a nite @ the proboscis monkeys place + the orang Utan conservation center). Have you visited the new Sunbear conservation center near Orang Utan?

once you are back in west malaysia, perhaps you could try FRIM abit further up than Kepong. you may miss the turning though, road signs are horrible.

Matthew: One day yes, but not this trip as I’m with my Mom.

Viola: It was a fantastic trip, definitely worth visiting.

TZ: Good time to go, not so many tourists. I didn’t have problems with leeches, just a lot of ants and mozzies. Sounds like a good trip. Didn’t know about the Sunbear center, would have loved to go there.

kevin: I’ve been to FRIM many times, it’s very near my place. Check out these posts.

    katsmew: You’re from Sandakan?
