In the shadow of Kinabalu!

Just reached Kinabalu Pine Lodge, had a shower and backed up the days pictures to my nifty Nexto Di PSD. It’s pretty cool here, literally not figuratively speaking. There’s no need for aircon and the small fan isn’t switched on.

Looking forwards to some nice steamboat for dinner to warm me up! The lodge is good, the mountain peak is just right outside the window towering above us.

It’s good to remeber Malaysia has world class beauty and wildlife too. Don’t always go looking abroad. Flying back to KL tomorrow evening tho, then it’s back to reality.

Will definitely visit this region again for white water rafting and to climb the mountain.

Agreed, KK has its own charm. I took probably the oldest train in M’sia from Beaufort to the Padas river and the rapids were awesome! But I didn’t get to make it all the way to the top of the mount the next day bcoz I had a really bad altitude sickness 🙁

I thought you just need to look next to yourself when you wake up everyday to discover Malaysia’s world class beauty? Or am I wrong?

I totally agreed with you… Sabah is a nice place to visit. The Sabahan are so friendly and they have so much nice and natural resources… I’m so tempted to go back to Sabah for a vacation this year… checking on Air Asia for my Mabul island trip… LoL :->

wye: Yah it’s very beautiful, especially just outside at the Kinabalu park area. I plan to go back for some white water rafting.

KY: Hahahah, yes indeed that is true.

TZ: Yeah really nice people, it’s a great place to go…definitely need to check out Mabul/Sipadan for some diving and Samporna looks fantastic too.
