What Religion Are You?

You scored as agnosticism. You are an agnostic. Though it is generally taken that agnostics neither believe nor disbelieve in God, it is possible to be a theist or atheist in addition to an agnostic. Agnostics don’t believe it is possible to prove the existence of God (nor lack thereof).

Agnosticism is a philosophy that God’s existence cannot be proven. Some say it is possible to be agnostic and follow a religion; however, one cannot be a devout believer if he or she does not truly believe.

Pretty much as I expected, Agnostic, Buddhist, Atheist..

I don’t believe but I don’t disbelieve, I wear a buddha around my neck as it’s the one religion which is most in line with that I feel is ‘good’, NO worshipping of false idols or deities or any of that other weak minded crap.

Have you ever realised that if you score as an agnostic/aethist/religion that doesn’t believe in a monotheistic God, you also are closer to Satanism and Paganism?

Man.. I would say that the poll is bloody biased

  2. ShaolinTiger March 22, 2005 at 2:41 am #

Yeah I did notice that actually, but I find it kinda logical, at least according to common perceptions.

As from the viewpoint of those with a singular religious path those who don’t believe are evil, and in modern religious circles, sadly but truly, satanism and paganism are closely linked..

    You scored as atheism.

You are… an atheist, though you probably already knew this. Also, you probably have several people praying daily for your soul. Instead of simply being “nonreligious,” atheists strongly believe in the lack of existence of a higher being, or God.

    atheism 100%
    Satanism 83%
    Paganism 71%
    agnosticism 50%
    Buddhism 46%
    Christianity 33%
    Judaism 33%
    Islam 29%
    Hinduism 0%

    Flawed pool but still interesting.

    5. Buddhism: 360 million

The religion represented by the many groups, especially numerous in Asia, that profess varying forms of this doctrine and that venerate Buddha.

I am not a “follower” or “believer” of only one religion, and never will be.

The word “religion” means “bond” as in “binding with an oath.” Religions are mostly static, living in the past, not open to change. I don’t think we must forget what happened in the past (those events that actually DID occur), but not to relive them year after year.

I think if we haven’t learned anything from the past, we have missed the lesson and may need to repeat it until we get it. But for those who get it – get on with your lives.

You scored as Satanism. Your beliefs most closely resemble those of Satanism! Before you scream, do a bit of research on it. To be a Satanist, you don’t actually have to believe in Satan. Satanism generally focuses upon the spiritual advancement of the self, rather than upon submission to a deity or a set of moral codes. Do some research if you immediately think of the satanic cult stereotype. Your beliefs may also resemble those of earth-based religions such as paganism.

It goes beyond religion, its a way of life.

AND Buddha is not a God nor has he ever claim to be.

You beat me to the proverbial punch, Vader – but I’m glad you said it if not me…

W00t! I’m just a filthy pagan, dancing naked ’round a balefire under the light of the moon!

Alright, I’m a very clean one, actually. And the only time I may dance naked is in my living room when I’m pissed out of my skull and want to frighten the cats.[LOL]

Only 43 days, 8 hours and 26 minutes to go ’til Beltaine! W00t! [LOL]

You scored as Paganism. Your beliefs are most closely aligned with those of paganism, Wicca, or a similar earth-based religion. You may also follow a Native American religion.

    Paganism 96%
    Buddhism 92%
    Hinduism 67%
    Satanism 67%
    Judaism 46%
    Islam 46%
    Christianity 33%
    atheism 21%
    agnosticism 13%

I totally agree with your sentiment, most religion are just great stories and social engineering to control the gullible masses..A feeble attempt to instil some ‘good’ values in society

Shame they are mostly a few thousand years out of date..
