Nuffnang Wild ‘Live’ Blogging Party - June 21st Hartamas
So the party was a blast! Loads of people turned up and the outfits were fantastic, all different kinds, self made, cobbled together from existing stuff and the more flashy rented outfits (gorillas and cows were popular).
Liang was a great emcee as usual and it was a good night all in all, nice food, good company, loads of bloggers and free beer (yay!).
I was keeping it real in my mad tiger skin.

I didn't wear it all the time as it was hot inside and out...and the jacket was quite thick.
Firdy doesn't need the monkey mask, Nicholas doesn't look too impressed.

The hawt nuffies before one of them had to cover up..

17 commentsSean Kingston Live at Zouk KL - Malaysia
So last month Sean Kingston was in town to perform a few songs in KL, his first stop was Zouk KL - it was in conjuction with Hotlink and Hitz.fm.
You might know him from his overplayed song "Beautiful Girls" - I do prefer this version though "Sean Krapston - Suicidal Song".
Zouk is blessed with being in a rather iconic location with the KLCC towers looming behind it, this always makes for good pics outside.

There were lots of people outside taking pics and having fun with the Hotlink boys and girls.

Inside was pretty packed with everyone waiting for the arrival of the star for the night.

Tiesto & Cosmic Gate LIVE at Freedom 08 - Port Dickson, Malaysia
If you've been reading my blog for some time you might know I'm a fan of Tiesto - I went to see him last time he was here which was back in 2006 at Sepang (DJ Tiesto - Live at Sepang Malaysia!) so I definitely won't miss the chance to see him head over here for his Elements of Life tour.
He was here for Freedom 08 at Admiral Marina in Port Dickson - the same place I went for that crappy Recharge 3: R3velation - The Aftermath in 2005.
I didn't meet any blog reading fans this time but I did see Adeline and Nadia from MDG!
Yes yes...3 years isn't been long I went to my first rave in 1994 for my 16 birthday so yeah work that out.
We reached the front gate around 10:15pm....omg look at the queue, lucky we pre-bought our tickets weeks ago at Axcess in 1-U.

We got inside around 10:45pm - not tooooo bad. Seen as though it was quite late the German duo of DJ Bossi & Nic Chagall commonly known as Cosmic Gate were already rocking the show and the place was pretty packed.

Hennessy Artistry at Zouk with DJ Andrew K & Keri
As I mentioned a couple of weeks ago the 2008 Hennessy Artistry parties would be kicking off in KL and Penang - 18th & 19th April.
I attended the KL party on April 18th with a whole lot of other famous bloggers and we partied the night away in the VIP section with plenty of tasty Hennessy cocktails (Hennessy and Ginger Ale rocks it).
Anyway the party was at Zouk - Jalan Ampang right in front of the Iconic KLCC Towers. The party itself was actually down in Velvet.

The crowd where there signing up, those who signed up online, invited guests and VIP/Media.

Atmospheric entrance to Zouk.

DJ Keri was there of course singing with a rocking orange wig and corset..

She looks better in the magazine pics really
But then she has been married 18 years and has two kids - not bad eh?

These two were the only ones really dancing during DJ Keri's set, the dance floor was pretty quiet.

VJ Callen working the visuals.

Bloggers rocking the dance floor.

Keri finishing up her set.

Lot's of teh femes bloggers.

Simon Seow, Jen Kin Yat, KY and FireAngel.
After that DJ Andrew K started his set and the place started moving, he played some pretty sweet tunes I have to say.

He really got the dance floor rocking and the party rocking.

Lot's of booze - yay!

Plenty of hot babes.

Discussing Drinking?

Just Drinking!

And of course happening party people!

The dance floor was pretty packed by then and the party was in full flow.

Ladies were working the podium.

And word up to my British homeboy James!

I think it's only healthy to end the post with some cleavage...so here you go.

It was definitely a rocking party and I'm looking forwards to the next Hennessy event.

Intimate Acoustic Session with Hannah Tan at Somo, Mon’t Kiara
I joined Hannah Tan and many other familiar faces over at Somo last week to check out her live acoustic session, just her and a keyboard! No dancers, no fancy production, no backup, no live musicians.
It was a little quiet at first but got busier as the night went on, Hannah arrived and settled down to start her performance.

The banner you see on the left..yes that picture was taken by me!
The audience were a little shy at first, but she soon got them warmed up.

My Surprise 30th Birthday Party
As you probably know by now it was my 30th birthday last Friday on the 21st March 2008. You can see my pressies here.
On Friday itself I thought I was just going to have a quiet dinner and hide away from the fact I am getting old..I thought something was up, but I wasn't sure what it was, where it was..or quite how many people were involved!
My mom let slip 'party' a couple of times, but I thought she was just talking generally..or being crazy haha.
I was led to Izzi Uptown and greeted by an overwhelming number of people (no I wasn't about to cry!). Apparently the original venue was Izzi KL, but due to the F1 parties most of the roads in KL were closed.
There was quite a number of people there when I arrived.

Lots of friends I haven't seen for quite a while.

And my bro with the same birthday Terence G.

Melium Lifestyle Event at Yo! Sushi - Pavilion
As you probably read, I'm a big fan of Yo! Sushi at the Pavilion - I headed back there with Kimberly for a Melium event we were invited to.
They were having a lifestyle event to promote the Yo! Sushi brand and introduce people to the concept.
Before anything else - we ate.....we ate plenty! Loads of Salmon yah! They had all of their special dishes out.
One of my favourites, the spicy chicken katsu ISO (Inside Out Roll).

And of course plenty of Sashimi - this is the dill and wasabi style, at the back is sesame seared.

The all time favourite Miso Black Cod (melts in your mouth!).

It was pretty much packed to capacity with people filling the tables and all the way around the bar.

Sushi Panning!

A while later they had a contest where they gave out some prizes, basically you had to lift a dish off the conveyor according to it's name announced by the emcee.

If you lifted the right plate - you won a prize!

Challenger

Following that you had to find a certain dish in the menu - again first one wins.

Over here - it's me!!

Lot's of happy people eating and drinking!

Enjoying the Sushi.

Eddie Kong - the Manager hard at work.

People take their own pics too - but still look at me

Preparing the take-out boxes.

A fun event with some great people to chat with and yummy food - all good if you ask me!

4 commentsLive and Loud 2007 Part 5 - Shaggy Himself! Mr Boombastic
The most exciting act of the night other than Whitney herself was Shaggy (Orville Richard Burrell) - the main man! He was rocking the floors back in the day when I myself was a youngster hopping in the clubs to classics like Oh Carolina and In The Summertime, and of course the ever classic Boombastic!
He burst on to the stage with a huge amount of energy and rocked the crowd from start to finish, definitely 100% the most exciting and entertaining act of the night. He was on stage with his regular partners in crime Rikrok (famous for 'It wasn't me') and Rayvon (The voice on 'Summertime' & 'Angel').
The crowd was absolutely jammed in by the time Shaggy came on.

He straight away got the crowd pumping with his energy and ragga stylin hip thrusting.

Just look at his expression and the mic position, caused quite some shaking of heads amongst the more conservative party attendees apparently.
