Awesome Logo Quiz! See how you score..

This is awesome, I managed to get about 72, some of them are pretty obscure, and a lot seem to be from UK products (including banks, British Telecom etc..)

So it might be a little harder for people outside UK, am not sure though, the majority are international brands.

If you know your car badges, you're already doing well.

Alchohol a few more :)

Check it out and see what you score!

With the help of my brother and the internet we got them all -

Dont' read any further if you dont' want any hints.

We aren't sure about how to spell the Breitling one - we can't get it to say it is correct. We tried Breitling Watches, Breitling Precission Instruments, Breitling for Bentley etc etc.

Some hints on some of the others - the Mercedes one is Mercedes-Benz (with the hyphen)
Bradford & Bingley (with the '&' NOT 'and')
Mister Minute instead of the correct spelling Mister Minit. (Doesn't accept Mr either)
The National Lotteries (Must have the 'The' to be correct).
SmithKline is ONE word (both times!) :-) Though in each case there is more to it than just that one word. (ie add another word to SmithKline in both cases - each is a different word)
    T-mobile needs the hyphen.
Ritz-Carlton Hotel also needs the hyphen.
The signature of the famous F1 driver needs both his names in full.
If you need any other hints or the answers, just ask me. :-)

Try Malaysia Air not Malaysian Airlines or whatever.

    It's 'Glaxo SmithKline'

  12. ShaolinTiger  on July 3rd, 2005 at 11:12 pm

Er, there's like less than 10% clothing brands there, so I don't see your point :P

Plus "I don't buy branded stuff" says the guy with Kenneth Cole shoes 0_o

Thanks, am up to 80 now..

Still can't get Disney or Breitling to work tho.

And some others so familiar but I can't remember the names..

  15. Dabido (Teflon)  on July 4th, 2005 at 1:41 am

Disney isn't Disney - hint - think of what Disney's actual name is regarding that trade mark - you see it at the end of their movies normally.
    Second hint - it's spanish!

Breitling you have to spell incorrectly as Brietling. Whoever put the quiz together was dyslexic - nothing wrong with that though. :-)

    Yes.

I got 72 first run, and I too cannot get Malaysia Airlines right. Cracking is a sign of how good you are at XLS, not how many brands you actually remember. ;-)

Figured out the formula thing, and inserted answers to brietling, stolichnaya and vans but cannot get the smile and the new score of 120! If I've cheated and inserted the answers using the sheet itself, how can it not be correct!

I can't get 59 either. Its the orange one with geometric shape pattern. Plus, can't get breitling to smile at me in any format. Thanks!

Hi Guys by answering Honestly, ive got 65 total of my answers from my own idea and known logos...

    after that, i give up,
but thanx to PD for the syntax so ive got all the answers...

i'll just give some straights answers for those who ask questions for their known right answers but doesn't work well

DON'T READ BELOW IF YOU DON'T WANT THE STRAIGHT ANSWERS!!!

The Ritz has HOTELS on the end..
The Disney thing is BUENA VISTA
    McDonald's is misspelled as MACDONALDS
59 is KYOCERA, a mobile phone brand..

The Breitling things has an error on its syntax in smiling,
    its doesnt smile nor scores
because it declares to be smile on 35,
it has to be on 44 not 35
but still it has typo error you have to type BRIETLING
if you wanna figure out the synatx just changed the formula of the smiley (w/c is in I26) from 35 to 44, or if you dont want to arrage the synatx just type NINTENDO 64 to the breiting logo and the smile will appear and it will count score

Also the VANS Logo has no syntax on the smiley box so it will not score, for those excel experts it can be easily figure out, for those who not, just consider your answer is right..

another error is on the SAAB logo... it declares to smile on 56 w/c is fosters, so it will not display smile again, it has to be declared on 55 so the smiley will smile for debuggers just change 56 to 55 on the syntax where the smiley box of saab logo is.
or just type fosters below the saab logo for noobs to score.

The STOLICHNAYA logo also has an error that has the same error of the breitling thing..
The syntax of the smiley is also declared to be smiled on 82 w/c is logo for michelin instead of smiling in 90,
try to type michelin below the stolichnaya logo and it will smile and scores,
for excel experts again just change the syntax of the smiley from 82 to 90.

Wow, thatks FE fEREIRA, brietling had the wrong syntax, so all I had to do was change it in the bar at the top of the sheet (to the right number)

Yes, I finally have all logos, although for me, that was the only incorrect syntax. Thats 2 years ive been doing this and finally i have got them all, only just came back here today afer a long while as you van see from my previous post.

anyone tried kids tv challenge, I have all answeres on that too!

I had so much fun finding the logos, I started before the summer in 2006, ans spent the summer holidays hunting for logos.

I found the columbia-tristar on an old video casette case, and I always remebered seeing the buena vista lgo at the end of diggit' when I was a kid.

Also, my gran used to smoke rothmans, so she knew that :)
