The Smirnoff Two Great Flavours One Launch at The Sanctuary (Curve)

It’s been a fair while since I went out and had a reasonable amount of alchohol, quite some time indeed.

I’m sure you remember my blog before my photography escapades was full of clubbing, greasy food, alcohol and hedonistic behaviour…aww perhaps I’m getting old?

I was invited for this party by some Smirnoff people, I just had to post something before the party to get things warmed up.

I managed to post something after the party too, just before passing out.

Anyway it was a pretty good party, there was a decent crowd.

Sanctuary Crowd

Joey G was the MC – isn’t he always nowdays? I seem to see him at every event I go to.

The finger food was pretty good – especially the sotong (yummy).

And the bar was of course packed.

Packed Bar

We got 3 free cocktails, one smirnoff red (before 9pm) and 1 of each of the new flavours after.

Cocktail

Me and the hot Kims.

Kim & Kim

Shortly after 9pm the new flavours were launched.

The vanilla is ok, just like vanilla coke and vodka, the green apple is nice though. Something quite different and refreshing.

It goes really well with loads of ice and a splash of sprite/7up!

Green Apple Launch

After that we headed into the ice bar, a -15 degree room where you pop vodka shots…pretty intense.

New Flavours

Kimfluttersby parading the new flavour.

Kim & the Vodka

Then we whacked 2 shots each (or 4 in my case) to get warm – the raspberry was nice!

Vodka Shots

It was ok up then….but then it got great when Shirley the brand manager for Smirnoff gave us another full bottle of Smirnoff Green Apple!

All the pics were taken with my supercool new Fuji F31d at ISO800 or 1600.

Great pics. I’m also planning to buy a F31fd, mind if u tell me where and the price(including XD card etc) u bought it? Hmm..is the pictures taken without flash at all, only by just bringing up ISO 800/1600?

Congratulations on the F31d! I love how the high ISO allows a load of ambient light in. I’m sure you’ll get acquainted with the jagged look of the SuperCCD in no time. 😀

Michael: The camera is around RM800 now, I got a 1GB xD card for RM125 – I couldn’t find a 2GB card. It goes for around 330 pictures on fine large size with 1GB. The picture is with flash and ISO1600, the high ISO gives more ambient light. Some are without flash and a mix between ISO800 and 1600.

Albert Ng: Thanks dude, yeah it really rocks to be able to pump the ISO on a compact camera and not cry when you see the pictures on the PC back home. Jagged heh, can live with that, I’m a sharp freak anyway..I love it’s output at high ISO.
