OUTSIDE IS OUTSIDE!!

At any local mamak near you…

Cinapek1: GOALLLLLLLLL
Cinapek2: WOOOAHHHHHH
Cinapek1: Ah hor, wait ah, no goal no goal
Cinapek2: Wat loh no goal hor?
Cinapek1: It OUTSIDE
Cinapek2: Huh, OUTSIDE?!
Cinapek1: Yah OUTSIDE
Cinapek2: Oh hor…yah OUTSIDE
Cinapek1: Yah loh…OUTSIDE
Together: Ah OUTSIDE OUTSIDE

BTW USA vs Italy was probably the most exciting and interesting game I’ve seen so far. The Yanks played their hearts out. 3 red cards (2 direct!), 2 goals, 2 disallowed goals.

What a game! I’m glad I stayed up to watch it.

(Yes I have no Astro and my TV reception is abysmal so I’m reduced to watching football at a Mamak..)

US prolly wanted to really dominate the World Cup and heal their economy.

You should’ve go over to them, slap them both with your PURSE and yell at them,
    “It’s Offside, you plicks!”

nah urs was not the best, there was this guy beside our table during the game, and he brought his own drink, seen him pouring it into his coke then he was busying copying something from his phone – i think its the fixtures … then all throughout the game he was restless … and the best part, we can all see his hand was shaking very badly when he was holding his phone, his book, his ciggarette … lol …

To me, the best is Argentina v S&M. That 2nd goal was one of the greatest ever. One touch, perfectly weighted passing, telephatic understanding. Even the commentator was gushing with superlatives:
    – “well, it has been a privilege sitting here watching Argentina play football at the highest level”
    – “untouchable” and
    – “every kid aspiring to be a professional footballer should learn from this” [after Tevez’s goal]
    – “this will be in training manuals 20 years grom now” [after 2nd goal]
    – “five star performance”

Italy V USA. I felt a little sorry for both sides. All red cards deserved … but, they forgot to get padded up first in their American Football gear! 🙂

USA’s only goal was scored by an Italian … The only goal scored against Italy was … by an Italian! lol

Did anyone hear about the USA before the match. They said it was WAR … apparently they likened it to WWII, where they were going to take out the Italians and then head for the Capital of Germany … I think that was pretty funny.

That’s why the Italians were upset before the match even began! lol

I think it was alike a red rag to a bull! 🙂

One of my friends is a huge Italia fan. She was spewing that they scored against themselves. She was calling for the defender to be drawn and quartered! lol

I think the Americans watched Adam Sandler’s ‘The Waterboy’ just before the match. I can just picture Bruce Arena saying, “Alright guys! Visualize, visualize. And remember to SACK their pizza parlour QUARTERBACK!!!

    bodicea: Yah ‘soccer’ forever..

foodcrazee: Gwailoh cannot go to mamak leh?

earl-ku: I feel kinda worried for the fella..

pinolobu: Great goals, but S&M played like amateurs. If Argentina performed like that against a strong team, would be a great game for me. I enjoy some competition, not whitewashing.

Dabido: Yah the defenders goal was a beautiful strike, straight past the keeper 😉

Adrian: Haha that’s a comic thought.

How about getting MiTV? It uses Digital Terrestrial Television Broadcast Technology which is cheaper than satellite. You can even watch it when it rains, when it’s too wet to sit at the mamak’s. 🙂
