I wonder how do policemen/firemen/emergency crews handle having to see shite like this in their line of work. Hmmm =/

It's even disturbing if you were in it. I think some of us might have been in this situation. I know i did.

There is probably something wrong with me. I looked at it and didn't feel grossed out.

But that's because some of them looked too gross to be real. You get what I mean? Because it looks so gross, your brain registers it to be too far fetched to happen.

So there. Still having dinner tonight.

ST- Thanks for the warning. I'm not even going to look at that page. Someone was trying to get me to do a google search for voluntary amputees the other day and I avoided that as well. [Yes, there are people out there who ASK to get limbs removed ... and Doctors do it for the patients mental health!]

Foxtrotecho 'I wonder how do policemen/firemen/emergency crews handle having to see shite like this in their line of work.'

Well, working for the WA Police and ALSO having a Senior First Aid certificate it comes down to this; When you're at the scene of an accident you DO YOUR JOB first, then you go home and vomit and cry or whatever emotions you're experiencing etc etc. But, after a while they [not me, I'm squeeeeemish], apparently get used to it.

I know in times of accidents etc I react first and then get emo later [I pulled a kid out of a glass door once and he had 18 stitches put in his head from it]. Professionals get used to it after a while and it just becomes a job for them. That's why coroners can eat their lunch whilst doing autopsies [not that they should have food near a corpse ... it might contaminate the evidence].

oh it is true. safety belt helps. really. it is not important untill you try to dodge the policeman or gone airborne or dive into drain or went 720 deg.

    Jason: It is indeed.

foxtrotecho: I guess they either freak out, or they just get used to it.

daniel: Good choice, be thin and safe.

Alistair: Amazing you survived, saw the pics on your blog.

vincent: Either that you're just generally desensitized by the internet.

aeroplane1234: You did look at them all right? Not just the first one.

v0ices: I agree - the public roads and highways are not that place!

Dabido: Good idea. And yeah I saw a program before about voluntary and self-amputees.

    LMF: It helps a lot.

wongkj: Flashbacks to rotten dot com.
