Plaza Damas – Paddington House of Pancakes

I think there’s one in the Curve too, but the one I go to is in Plaza Hartamas/Plaza Damas.

Open Your Heart

Open your heart, have some pancakes? WTF? Yeah I know..

It’s a nice light clean looking place with good service and reasonable prices, again not a place you’d have lunch every day unless you are loaded.

Paddington House of Pancakes

They have a massively extensive menu with more different types of pancakes than you could ever imagine!

Paddington Menu

Normal pancakes, pankoeks, blitzes, galettes? Yeah I didn’t know what any of them were either..

The story of Paddington House of Pancakes.

Story of Paddington

The pancakes come in a good serving size with nice garnish and range from about RM14-30 depending how extravagant you go, they also have sweet pancakes to finish off.

This is the full house, something like a full breakfast pancakes with sausage, beans and egg.

Full House

This is the Amsterdam Pankoek, yeah looks something like a pizza, delicious.

Amsterdam Pankoek

And this one was mine, something like a chicken burger pancake, very nice too.

Chicken Burger Pancake

I definately recommend checking out Paddington House of Pancakes if you haven’t.

Since they opened an outlet at The Curve after moving out from Centrepoint BU, their service quality is just plain bad.

One time, it wasn’t even a full house, maybe about 30-40% occupied, and the waitress had the nerve to tell me that they do not have any more menus. What if it was a full house then?
Also, the staff take ages to respond to your call.

Food quality has also dropped drastically.
    Just my 2 cents.

    Mmm.
I totally agree about the quality of service (in the outlet at the Curve – the one in Hartamas is ok).

Unfortunately they are the only restaurant(s) serving such a varied (and usually, delicious) selection of pancakes….

Anyone has any other suggestions for a good pancake place?

    Skyler: I definately recommend it!

KinkyPugKevin: Don’t hate me, treat me lunch so I can take more pictures 😀

food lover: Yeah it’s amazing stuff, The Curve one isn’t so great for some reason though, bad staff I think.

J: Sorry babe 😛 Will try the lamb thing next time. I don’t think there are any other pancake places sadly.

Sher Win: Yeah have to agree about The Curve outlet, dunno what happened there.

Wow, looks absolutely delicious. Hope it’s not halal. That chicken burger pancake looks very yummy. Bacon could be very yummy too. 🙂

I’ve been to Hartamas outlet before,i’m a regular customer there with my friends.I like the pancakes very much, especially the sweets one.Halal or not i don’t really know but i noticed they don’t sell any pork items there.Curve’s outlet is always pack,I rather choose Hartamas. Some more the staffs there is more attentive and friendly.Who likes pancakes there should go and have a try,the ambience is not bad also! 🙂

  17. ShaolinTiger May 2, 2006 at 4:11 pm #

JC: Not sure about Halal, but delicious indeed! 🙂

Sharon: Yah have to say Hartamas one is much better. Better food, better service! Ambience is ok, nice and clean and bright.

The Pancakes are very expensive and the food portioning not worth for your money. You won`t feel welcome as the waiter/waitress are very lazy and just make dunno about your presence.

i’ve tried the pancakes last sunday at the curve. its so expensive with the food portioning & food quality are just not worth for my money. its kind of weird to eat a stacks of pancakes with vegetables, turkey ham, which they called Full Monthy in a bowl, even i wanted to slice the pacakes the bowl are not stable. (so called fashion bowl) haha… I do agree that the service are totally unexpected its suck!!!! theres a chubby waitress (not sure chinese or wat) she might have some problem b4 she starts work coz her face r totally black when she take our order. those staffs really need full good training. definetly i wont go back there again since that was my 1st time to go n will be the last time too…

  20. ShaolinTiger July 21, 2006 at 9:28 pm #

serene: We already all said don’t go to the curve outlet 😛 If you want to go, go to Plaza Damas!

I had something like the one in your first picture (with beef salami in it) at the curve branch today. I think it was really delicious! even the sausage was really nice. service was not that bad. except that they really don’t know how to recommend food. when i asked for the most sellable items, the waiter said items on the whole page are most sellable! *puzzled*

  22. Lola July 25, 2008 at 8:24 pm #

Yunarie: Maybe the waiter didnt understand you because there is no such thing as the word sellable! So, Its your own fault, If you asked me.

The restaurant has the worse service ever. I am quite disappointed in it even if it has a very large varieties.

    1) I tried ordering some stuff and 3 times he told me that it’s sold out
    2) My table has 3 person, although food has came, they did not give us any table setting.
    3) When he gave us table settings, they only gave 3 pairs of fork and spoon, 1 plate and 1 piece of tissue. Note: we had 3 person. We can’t share the plates do we?
    4) One of the plates with pancakes that it serve is boiling hot, I think the plate went into the oven, waiter did not warn me of the hot plate, made me burn my fingers when I touched it.
    5) Complained to the waiter, no apologies heard at all. He wasn’t even sorry.
    6) Waiters are not english literate, couldn’t communicate at all. Keep misunderstanding me and hence, making me having a wrong order.
7)Tried to make a complain at it’s website but the website’s “Contact Us” is not click able.

After one meal there, I don’t think I will ever be a customer at Paddington House of Pancake anymore.
