Flippin’ Addictive Fishin’ Game!
Ok so what have a lot of people been doing lately when they should be doing other important stuff like blogging? They've been playing this addictive flash game...till they get hand cramps.
The game is called "FlipFlop" Flippy....and it's infuriatingly addictive - especially when you are trying to beat someone else's score.
I was so happy after spending quite some time playing when I beat KY's score of 12,750 by getting 12,900 I went back to his blog to comment....but he'd updated! With 13,350 - I was gutted.
I kept playing though....and eventually got 14,100! Yay I beat it. I still can't break 15,000 though.

I almost double that noob Timothy Tiah though with his pathetic score of 7,200. Even Wong Wen Qi beat him with a reasonable 10,800!
It's actually quite a strategic game, you have to think about your tactics and gameplan...it seems terribly simple at first but it's not.
Quite a lot of it is down to luck too, how many big fishes swim through and the timing of the electric eels and what they block you from fishing out.
It's super frustrating when you have a record breaking score with about 20 seconds left...then the final 20 seconds is just filled with eels and you can't fish anything out!
You can actually win prizes playing the game if you get into the hall of fame but you need to be a Hong Leong Online user. For every 2 bill payments you make you are eligible for one entry to the contest.
Hong Leong Online is now one of the most recognised banks in Malaysia as they're quite smart in their marketing. They've even arranged this Made of Honor event where the people with top scores will be invited to their 8 course dinner at JW Marriot and a free screening of the movie.
Do try out "FlipFlop" Flippy here:
And let me know in the comments what you can get...without cheating of course
Anything over 11,000 is reasonable I think.
Heineken “Life Below Zero” Beer Launch at Velvet Underground - Zouk
Ah finally! A party I really enjoyed. So the story is, I was invited to a product launch by Heineken who are launching new "sub-zero" bottled beer in Malaysia, their sub-zero draft has already been installed in 30 locations through Malaysia since September this year and now they are launching new Sub-zero beer chillers for bottled beer.
I was a bit annoyed as it was 7pm on a Monday night in the middle of KL...during the season when it rains a lot during early evening - just great!
I got there about 7.45pm and queued for some draft, good stuff. It really does taste better when it's extra cold - we were upstairs for a while at the bar whilst waiting for the launch to kick of downstairs in Velvet Underground.
So we headed down, there was ice everywhere, huge green blocks of ice filled with bottles of Heineken - good stuff!

The place was fairly well packed.

Joey G was the emcee (as he always seems to be nowadays) and the thing kicked off with a video about how the beer is best served extra cold, then a delivery by the regional director for Heineken - sounded like an Aussie.
