Pizza Hut – A Place To Get Together

With people working longer hours and spending more time in front of the computer and television – they sometimes forget to communicate and spend time with those that matter. Even amongst our circle of friends we have a saying “Disconnect to Connect” – which basically means to put the iPhone/BlackBerry/Android down and talk face to face with your friends instead of sitting in a restaurant or pub and Facebooking.

Pizza Hut is promoting this with their new thematic campaign championing face-to-face interaction. We were recently invited to a new Pizza Hut branch in Subang 2 for a get together and makan session.

Pizza Hut - Subang 2

It’s a rather stylish location with a casual, relaxed feel and it really is a nice place to hang out with ample parking. We always have the best times over food, sharing with friends, laughing and eating is one of the greatest pleasures in life. It’s a simple thing, but once you get used to enjoying it you can understand why the Italians regularly have 6-hour dinners and all day Sunday lunches.

I went along with my Mom who is visiting from UK, one of the two ladies in my life that means the most to me. You can also view the new Pizza Hut Thematic TVC here; New Dishes, New Flavours.

Apart from the new location and the new campaign there was of course also some new items on the menu! The first, which I enjoyed tremendously would be the Cheesy Char-Grilled Chicken baked rice.

Pizza Hut - Char-Grilled Chicken Baked Rice

It was very tasty without being too rich, it’s made from Char-grilled chicken meat, mushrooms, roasted onions, sweet garlic sauce and buttered rrice topped with creamy white sauce and Mozzarella cheese.

Next would be the Triple Platter (Oriental Wings OR Honey BBQ Wings, Masala Spin Roll and Criss-Cut Fries, Served with Cool Lime Mayo). The Masala Spin Roll was REALLY tasty but a little too spicy for some people – I loved it!

Seafood Marinara Pasta was also really rather good, it contains tempura Prawns, squid strips, tomatoes, onions, olives, Napolitana sauce and parsley.

Of course we also had a great time hanging out, chatting and eating at Pizza Hut – my partner in crime for the day was Audrey who helped me polish off everything. Honestly she’s SO tiny – I have no idea where she puts all the food. My theory was…the more she eats the bigger her eyes get 0_0

Pizza Hut have also just launched a new pizza for Chinese New Year called “Ring of Fortune” – delicious stuff. You can check out the TVC here:

It was really good, especially the crunchy bits and the combination of the different cheese flavours.

Pizza Hut Malaysia - Ring of Fortune

  • Succulent char-grilled chicken on a special double crust stuffed with golden cheese and sprinkled with crispy cornflakes! Made even more auspicious with red capsicums, pineapple tidbits and yellow onions.
  • Inner and outer crusts loaded with 3 flavoured cheeses
  • Crispy cornflakes for that added crunch
