London Bridge is Burning down…

Motherfuckers…

Bombing London on such a joyous day, I was going to blog about the great news of London winning the Olympic bid for 2012, beating the stinky garlic munching hairy arm-pitted frogs of gay paris by 4 votes..

But how can I when my country has just been blown to shit.

It’s pretty sick aswell, coinciding with the start of the G8 summit in Scotland

According to the latest news, there were 4 blasts, all targeting public transport during rush hour…

Currently known as 2 dead and a LOT injured, maybe more than 300, am not sure as of now..ITN is reporting up to 40 dead..

Blogs responded to the blast quickly as due to congestion the cellular networks were down..

As I’ve been saying blogs are the new media..

Jeff Ooi also has some coverage on this.

Injured people, bloody and covered in soot were seen coming out of the tube stations..

We always said if they hit, they’ll hit the underground…I didn’t except the buses too..

A group calling itself “The Secret Organization of al-Qaida in Europe” posted a claim of responsibility for the blasts, saying they were in retaliation for Britain’s involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan. The Web statement, republished on the site of the German magazine Der Spiegel, could not be immediately confirmed.

The full statement:

In the name of God, the merciful, the compassionate, may peace be upon the cheerful one and undaunted fighter, Prophet Muhammad, God’s peace be upon him.

Nation of Islam and Arab nation: Rejoice for it is time to take revenge against the British Zionist Crusader government in retaliation for the massacres Britain is committing in Iraq and Afghanistan. The heroic mujahideen have carried out a blessed raid in London. Britain is now burning with fear, terror and panic in its northern, southern, eastern, and western quarters.

We have repeatedly warned the British Government and people. We have fulfilled our promise and carried out our blessed military raid in Britain after our mujahideen exerted strenuous efforts over a long period of time to ensure the success of the raid.

We continue to warn the governments of Denmark and Italy and all the Crusader governments that they will be punished in the same way if they do not withdraw their troops from Iraq and Afghanistan. He who warns is excused.

God says: “You who believe: If ye will aid (the cause of) Allah, He will aid you, and plant your feet firmly.”

Makes me feel sick to my stomach.

Good summary from a UK blog HERE.

For all those that SMS’ed me, thanks for caring, yes it feels horrible and my family are all ok, we are near Birmingham, so well out of the way of London.

*Sigh*

What more can I say? Apart from..MAN THIS IS FUCKED.

40 dead minus Bus 30. The bus looked pretty fucked.

A typical London double decker can ferry more than a hundred passengers at any one time, so I would put the estimate at below 200. No point speculating though. 1 dead or 1000 dead it is still a sad day for London.

this is terrible. horrible. terrible. make me sick to the stomach too. how can people do such a thing? killing innocent people. targetting the public transport is so vile. a bit like targetting hospitals and schools.

i hope the attackers would rot in he_ _ …. no, i hope the attackers would find peace in their heart… will they?

I am currently in London and listening to live BBC news. The whole transportation system is crippled and lots of interviews and sessions going on here. Will update when I can.

Tube lines that got hit are: Piccadilly line, Circle Line, maybe more but still to be confirmed.

As confirmed, all mobile networks are jammed and hardly you can get calls through, unless using landlines(even that had problems to connect). If you have any relatives in central London, please try to sms them or msg them on the net instead of calling them.

BBC just confirmed as of 4pm BST 33 dead and 45 critical. Next press conference by TFL(transport for london) and Metropolitan Police will be tomorrow only, since they just finished one.

    4.05BST(British Summer Time, +1 GMT)

Any questions I can help to answer.

More on transportation system: all tube lines are suspended, buses for Zone 1(Central London)are suspended, trains in/out London just only resumed except Kings Cross Station, Heathrow Express is running normally, DLR(Docklands Light Rail)is as reduced service.

really glad that all’s well in your family, yes it does make one sick in the stomach… take care and god bless

  8. Teleweku July 7, 2005 at 10:23 am #

The main point is that when the first few explosions happened, TFL suspended the whole underground(tube) system. Hence, the only way people can get around is with bus. Anyone of you in London last time when they had the tube strikes would realised how packed buses are when it is the only means of transportation in central London. Packed sardines they are, to the slaughter.

Forensics are still determining whether it is done by suicide bombers or packages left behind.

    The city is mourning….

Thanks a lot for the updates dude, really appreciate it..

Just downing some gin, feel kinda depressed and angry at the same time..

Dude. Hope your family and friends back in the UK are OK.

Links you can follow to get an idea of what has happened:

    https://abcnews.go.com/International/LondonBlasts/
    https://www.bbc.co.uk/
    https://edition.cnn.com/
    https://www.transportforlondon.gov.uk/

Just confirmed on BBC live news:
1st incident: Explosion on tube between Aldgate and Liverpool Street. 7 killed. 8.51am.
2nd incident: 5 minutes later, explosion on tube between Russell Square and Kings Cross station. 21 killed.
3rd incident: 30 mins later, explosion on wall between edgware road and paddington, derailing one train which proceeds to affect a nearby train and a possibly a 3rd train. 5 dead.
4th incident: 9.47am, top part of bus number 30 exploded near travistock square(which is near Kings Cross Station). Unconfirmed number dead, but looks really really bad.

So its at least 33 dead confirmed, without taking a fully packed double decker bus into account.

The feeling is starting to sink in deeply even for me.

Urgh about the bombing. It’s good to hear your family’s safe. Family always comes first. I have family in Kent, which is quite off, but it was still a scare. It’s always unpleasant to hear about shocking events such as this. Hope everyone holds strong.

    it is fucked indeed.

My (Malaysian) wife and in-laws are currently in London, whilst I, an ex-pat Brit have to sit and watch BBC 24 as this horror unfolds. They are all OK, but I guess it is not going to be much of a holiday for them now.
Meanwhile, well meaning relatives here are assuring me that this is not an act that is indicative of Islam.
Well, of course it isn’t. But also it is (presumably) the act of fanatics that believe that a historic book of superstition can be used to “justify” such actions.
There are political motives as well, but this renewed growth of religious terrorism in the 21st century? We are still not a terribly evolved species 🙁
It’s 5 in the morning, I’m very tired, I won’t even start to rant about religion (on someone elses blog 😉 but hope all those here remain unaffected by this tragedy.

    *hugs*
    glad ur okay.

  17. Jimbo July 7, 2005 at 9:39 pm #

I am no pro-Muslim fan but the excessive use of Allah for every single atrocity committed is pissing me off. Do not use religion as a political propaganda and do not justify your horrid deeds in the name of God! Despicable!

  18. ShaolinTiger July 7, 2005 at 10:17 pm #

Yeah everything is fine, we are quite some way from London and I checked with my friends that are there, all ok.

  19. ShaolinTiger July 7, 2005 at 10:22 pm #

Yeah things will be a bit disturbed there now…I am a bit disturbed and I’m not even there, BBC website almost got flooded offline with the influx of traffic aswell..

Politics and religion are virtually the same thing, both creations of man to control the masses, base forms of social control and keeping order amongst the chaos of human nature.

Let’s all rant about religion together.

  20. ShaolinTiger July 7, 2005 at 10:30 pm #

It’s really sickening, the use of religion for terrorist purposes just gives the whole thing a bad name…

But then that’s the fundamental problem with religion, they were created in a vague manner to enable the ‘leaders’ to control the people with whatever was relevant at the time, intepreting the religious texts in the most appropriate way..

Which leaves them open to intepretation and thus abuse.

  21. KY July 7, 2005 at 11:06 pm #

I’m not sure it’s the fundamental problem with religion or the fundamental problem with some of the current leaders of religious groups.

  22. Intensecure July 7, 2005 at 11:44 pm #

Faith by it’s very nature requires the suspension of critical thought. Critical thought is the evolutionary trait that has proved to give the greatest advances in knowledge and material progress. Faith has proved itself to be a reductive instinct, based on fear and desire for political control, that causes great suffering, perverts progress, and crucially removes the self-determination of the human race in favour of a man-made, irrational at best and manipulable at worst, construct.
What gods we could all be if we didn’t believe in gods? 😉 Perhaps then we would become ” noble in reason! how infinite in faculties! in form and moving how express and admirable! in action how like an angel! in apprehension how like a god! the beauty of the world, the paragon of animals!”.
Until then, we bomb our fellow human beings, we invade other countries for greed, and we tell those devastated by natural disasters that god willed it or even that they brought it upon themselves through their “wickedness” – and *that* is evil!
Sorry to rant on yr blog page, ShaolinTiger, but it happened to be the first that I read when trawling last night 😉 I see that you have a realistic attitude to religion – how do you manage in Malaysia? ;))
    Have a nice day 🙂

Good to hear your loved ones are alright back home. The extremists may have given the world a jolt, but for each one civilian they harm they’re only rallying tens of thousands more against them.

The dumbasses don’t even realise what they’re doing.
