Exercise - Nike Plus and a Little Gadget for your iPod!

I've taken up exercising again, battling the fat! Taking in less calories, eating less trans/saturated fats (no more mamak) and exercising regularly sometimes. I've lost about 4kg so far'so I'm not doing too bad, but I've got a long long way to go!

Anyway Nike has this Nike+ technology jointly developed by Apple and Nike and a new gadget which is pretty cool. Basically it's a device similar to an Odometer that fits into your shoe and measures your pace and how far you've traveled (running or walking). They call it the 'sensor' and it uses footstrike technology. You can read more about how it works in Wikipedia : Nike+iPod.

You can also key in your weight and it'll tell you how many calories you've burned (approximately). You can fit the sensor into any Nike+ compatible shoe and it's 92% accurate without calibration.

Just pop the sensor into your shoe - plug the receiver into your iPod Shuffle and off you go.

These are Nike+ ready shoes..

Fish & Chips and a Walk by the River Severn with Sunset!

So a few days later I headed back down to town to capture the cathedral again with my sturdy tripod and the correct ISO setting..sadly it was closed by the time I got there, but do enjoy these pics of the Riverside.

We started off customarily with fish and chips sitting on a bench by the river watching the children playing and people feeding the swans and pigeons.

The kids were really enjoying the fountain.

An 8km Walk up the Malvern Hills

So after the hearty pub lunch we took a rather long stroll up to the top of the Malvern Hills, one of the oldest hills in the UK.

We parked at the North Quarry and walked up to the beacon, the highest point in the range.

As it's towards the end of summer a lot of the flowers are going brown and dying off for the browns of Autumn.
