The Force is Strong in This One

If you do read anything today...make sure it's this:

And the path of the Prophets diverge

The prophets the Brand and the Screen are at loggerheads, issues could, have and will arise, the force could cause ripples powerful enough to dislodge those seated in the upper echelons of the Sphere.

and this:

And the domino effect is put in motion

The power of the Sphere indeed does have interesting dynamics, ripples are being felt, the power of the Brand is draining away and the power of the Screen is swelling inside itself, yet the power in the Sphere is being dwarfed by the growing cosmos of white noise flooding the Sphere.

There are other interesting Jedi's in the Sphere that have power and experience from the dark side such as the prophets Bru and Aisehman.

The Sith that talks has many experiences of the force and speaks with wisdom formulated from these trists.

I am ready to take on the dark side, or perhaps I am the dark-side.

Jedi or not, here I am.

I have reached the Zenith of the 10 pillars, shall I disenage, or shall I remain that is the question.

The Quality of Pings on PPS Lately

I've heard a lot about this lately, a lot of people talking about it, well complaining about it.

And it's struck me too, the quality of content on PPS has dropped dramatically, I guess it's inevitable for any kind of unrestricted system, as the volume increases, the quality decreases, the same can be said for music or TV shows or movies even.

Due to this the traffic generated from pinging PPS has also dropped, not that this effects me much as my traffic is about the same if I ping or not.

It also makes me lose faith in the blogosphere, and the quality..where are the good new blogs? Sometimes I read every ping on PPS looking for a new gem, I've found a handful decent writers in the past year or so, and even they aren't consistent. There are some good ones though (Pink Pau, Sabahan and a few others).

Why are the good posts by the same old people from the same old blogs.

Sometimes I feel like my blog is getting lost amongst all the crap, well honestly..perhaps my blog is just part of the crap.

I've been meaning to write about it for quite some time, but I never got around to it, it was really prompted after the whole 'Kahsoon' thing when a bunch of people started imitating his linkblog style and flooding PPS with crap no one cares about.

There are a bunch of new blogs doing the same thing now (e-globe1, TheTubeVideo, OffBeatEnough etc..).

I mean seriously if I want to see 'funny' videos I'll go to break.com if I wan't to see stupid pictures and viral emails I'll go to boreme.com.

All these pseudo pro-bloggers, then there are quite a number that just paste articles from other sites in a hope that they will strike it rich..

Easily spotted as they have more adverts than content..The 'original' content is usually misspelt and grammatically incorrect.

Quite a few of these have thankfully died off, obviously the creators weren't as motivated as they once thought.

Zzz boring all the same loads of pro-blogger kind of blogs alex allied, financially independant

Creating, running and having a successful blog is not as easy as it seems, it takes a lot of work, effort and in some cases technical knowhow.

PPS has also gotten flooded with myspace kinda blogs, journals about irrelevant stuff, no real content, just whinging, whining, emo..

These people have as much right to ping PPS as say Paul Tan or Mack Zulkifli, but really I wish they would realise no one really wants to read their shit, and keep it somewhere else.

I still do use PPS as I don't have room for everyone on my RSS list, so I check PPS to see if the blogs I like have updated.

I'd really like to see PPS version 2 come out, with the ability to block certain blogs, as some people like to ping 3-4 times a day when really they have nothing to say, they are just making a 1-2 line commentary and posting an entire news article.

Voting like SpyMy might be a good idea too, but well that idea failed as no one in Malaysia is interested in promoting anyone except themselves.

People just submit their own links and move on, they don't vote nor submit links from others sites or resources...but well that's another rant for another day.

I've kind of lost momentum with blogging lately, most because I haven't been doing much or eating anything different..

My traffic is at an all time low.

Should I keep blogging? What should I write about? Does anyone even care?

I've taken up a new hobby, photography! So pretty much everything has revolved around that, I'm setting up a new site for my pics, tips, photoshop tutorials etc..

Looking for guest writers too.

I picked my nose.

And I pinged PPS to tell you.

Why?

Because I'm a loser and I need the attention.

I'll do a (repost) later so you can read that I picked my nose again, because well it's really important.

And yes, I NEED THE ATTENTION!

The BEST PPS Second Bday Bash Post and Photos of ALL

Ok so here it is, bloody raw and uncut, I'm home, I'm fed, I'm sweaty and I'm ready to post.

This is definately the best PPS Bash post of all :P It took as long as one of Kenny's posts, and it was interupted half way through so I could go and watch H2G2 at the new GSC in 1U.

PPS turned 2 yesterday if you don't know, it's some kind blogtal (blog portal) called Protect Petaling Street.

My camera totally freaked out, I think the digital processor has gotten fried, I must have dropped some LSD on it, here's my pics from the PPS Bash:

If anyone knows any trustworthy cameras shops in PJ/KL so I can try and get a decent quote for repairs, drop me a mail.

Sucks eh? So the pictures below are testament to my delegation skills and cam whoring abilities :D

As I mentioned in my half drunken middle of the night post last night, I met loads of famous bloggers.

Regarding the bash itself, it was good, it was a little overwhelming meeting so many people at once, especially all the 'high profile' ones, and the sheer number of strangers, I mean I recognised a lot but I wouldn't say I knew them, and a handful I had met before.

I agree with KYs sentiments in part, the idea is great, commendable, the execution a little off. Charlie's place is a cool venue, but not really practical, not enough space, not enough comfy seats, not enough staff, not enough chefs, not enough parking, it's cosey for a meet of less than 20 it would be ideal, but for the unruly close to a 100 people that turned out, no thanks.

There was no MC, no introductary games or people standing up and telling everyone who they are, the famous people everyone knew, the others, if they were wearing a tag you might be able to read their scrawl, if not, you're out of luck.

Human nature is to stay within ones own social group, so that's what happened on the whole, a lot of people did make an effort to mingle though so it was nice, as I was easily recognisable a lot of people approached me, which was nice (I am famous apparently).

It was the first though, hopefully the first of many, I'm sure things will get better, we all learn from our experiences.

There was so many people aswell, it was hard to talk to anyone for long as you felt like you were monopolising them and vice versa, I did meet the people I wanted to, and some others and had a chat with a few.

If another person says anything like "OMG You're so tall" I might get mad! LOL, no shit I know I'm tall..Virtually everyone I spoke to said something along those lines.

Some of them blogging weirdos I met:

Huai Bin (sixthseal.com), he was a lot softer than I imagined (in looks and soft spoken)

Kenny Sia (kennysia.com), dude is quite handsome in real life, and almost stacked, close to being a butcho macho body builder type, pretty shy guy though, trying to live up to his coconut reputation, perhaps a few more beers.

Mack Zulkifli (brandmalaysia.com), awesome guy, super hyper, super pumped on life, loves to talk, great to talk to, have to see more of him, his comment cracked me up too...

..my favourite eastern warrior, ShaolinTiger. Being an expert in the art of disguise as well, he came last night looking like some causasian dude. Stilts must have been involved. Too bad he did not get to display 'kung fu' skills. I look forward to seeing more of this charismatic 'Malaysian' blogger, true and true.

Andreas (alwayswow.com), nice guy with his own Alwayswow jacket, trendy!

The legend Jeff Ooi (jeffooi.com), a very nice and humble guy, shorter than I expected, as his online persona is rather imposing, also claimed I am as famous as him...*cough* I don't think so Jeff :P

The uber satiral genius TV Smith (Yes that's actually his real name, TV is his initials) (mycen.com.my), funny dude, must have beers with him some day!

Peter Tan! (petertan.com) been chatting with him a while, very nice guy also, would like to catch up some time.

Reta (cyber-red.blogspot.com) OMG SHE'S SO HOT! and Kimberly (kimberlycun.blogspot.com) OMG SHE'S SO HOT TOOOO!!!

Minishorts (minishorts.net) SHE'S HOT TOO AND SHE WAS WEARING NOTHING (Honest..)

I was a bit gay aswell as usual...If you want to see more of my gayness check Suans Gallery.

The place was pretty packed, especially when the awards were on, everyone came inside, sweaty or what! As you can imagine the camera flashes were blinding (It's a bloggers meet, I'd expect at LEAST 1 camera per person).

The Legend TV Smith presenting Jeff Ooi his prize for Ping of the Year.

The Coconuts Kenny Sia accepting his award for Blog of the Year from the Legend Jeff Ooi.

There was a great t-shirt signging thing going on too, I think almost everyone did the deed, that's some t-shirt and some testament to the Malaysia blogosphere, which I'm proud to be part of. (BTW I should win everything cos I got nominated twice in Ping of the Year).

As the beer flowed, I became an animal, this is for all of you who wanted the pic without that other dude in it ;)

And of course I did the obligatory "I want to hump Kenny Sia" picture..

No pics of, but I also met:

Jordan Macvaysia (macvaysia.blogspot.com), nice guy with his beautiful wife Leen, would have liked to have time to chat with him a bit more, maybe next time.

Irene (ireneQ.com), who poked me and said she wanted to say hi, so she can say she met ShaolinTiger!

Tapped Shaolin Tiger on the shoulder and, when he turned, stuck my hand out at him and said, "I just want to be able to say that I met Shaolin Tiger."

Snark, YP and Chiq who I kinda know already.

Aizuddin Danian, the founder of PPS.

Sharizal who liked my Racial Bias in Malaysia and Racism in General..post

This quote from dsaint the stalker made me laugh too:

The ready light told me all was well. I sluethed around recognising ST, he was pretty hard to miss. Freaking tall giant, always with some pretty chicks flanking him. I got my point and shoot camera with the flash offed so as not to seem obvious when taking upskirts spy pics and aimed it at ST and *click*. Hip shooting.

One of the highlights too was the guy who came up to me and said "Hey I like your blog, it's cool?", I was like rocking, who are you dude? He turned out to be the guy that does the cartoons for TV Smith (Johnny Ong), I was like wow, I love your work too, mutual admiration society.

Some guy came up to me and called me Mr ShaolinTiger, and asked to take a picture with me, that was awesome too, thanks you made my night! Sorry to all the people I burnt with cigarettes, I was drunk and it was like sardines :P

There is a post with all the PPS pings about the bash here:

PPS Bash - Shortest Post Award

Ok this is it.

No really, it was fun, it was packed, met loads of people I wanted to meet..

Jeff Ooi, TV Smith (And his cartoonist, who likes my blog actually), Kenny Sia, Huai Bin (Sixthseal), Mack Zulkifli, Jordan Macvyasia, Andreas (Alwayswow), Jayelle, Reta and loads of others actually, due to lack of food and excess alchohol I'm kinda blank now.

Just watch PPS for the flood of pings.

My camera totally fucked up, the pictures came out like crap, I think the digital processor chip has gone....will have to find out how much it is to fix..

I am rambling..I had lots of jugs of beer and no food..

YAY!

Anyway I forgot to pre-order food, but due to them being too busy I heard quite a few people say the food wasn't good, and those I tried definately wasn't good.

I applaud the effort, but hope for it to be a little better organised next time, not a great location, although cosy, there was 80-100 people, so....a little too cosy?

The award results are everywhere, go look em up if you care.

Will post pics and proper things tommorow when I'm concious and not stinking like a pig (and have gotten the pics from the people's cameras I whored), I need to shower and sleep, meeting at 9.30am OMG THATS IN A POXY 8 HOURS!

I LOVE YOU ALL!

Apart from Tim Yang obviously.

*EDIT* Ok I love this pic so much I'll post it..

All I say is OMGWTFBBQLOLROFLMAOLUITALOLLERSKATESPLS!
