No commentsMelium Lifestyle Event at Yo! Sushi - Pavilion
As you probably read, I'm a big fan of Yo! Sushi at the Pavilion - I headed back there with Kimberly for a Melium event we were invited to.
They were having a lifestyle event to promote the Yo! Sushi brand and introduce people to the concept.
Before anything else - we ate.....we ate plenty! Loads of Salmon yah! They had all of their special dishes out.
One of my favourites, the spicy chicken katsu ISO (Inside Out Roll).

And of course plenty of Sashimi - this is the dill and wasabi style, at the back is sesame seared.

The all time favourite Miso Black Cod (melts in your mouth!).

It was pretty much packed to capacity with people filling the tables and all the way around the bar.

Sushi Panning!

A while later they had a contest where they gave out some prizes, basically you had to lift a dish off the conveyor according to it's name announced by the emcee.

If you lifted the right plate - you won a prize!

Challenger

Following that you had to find a certain dish in the menu - again first one wins.

Over here - it's me!!

Lot's of happy people eating and drinking!

Enjoying the Sushi.

Eddie Kong - the Manager hard at work.

People take their own pics too - but still look at me

Preparing the take-out boxes.

A fun event with some great people to chat with and yummy food - all good if you ask me!

Just got back from Penang, pretty exhausted having to wake up at 2.30am for the marathon, then hardly any sleep coming back.
Quite a few things to catch up with, so just a taster first.
One of my favourite foods in the world ever..

And a view through a sandy path, weather wasn't fantastic.
Sandy Path

I love it super-wide
Rocky Bay

I didn't take too many pictures, was pretty exhausted.
Deserted

The marathon was interesting though.
Will get some more up soon ![]()
I Miss Those Crab Feasts…
And a lot of others things too.
I guess as life goes on things change and you tend to spend your time doing different things. For me it seems to be almost obsessive, I get totally absorbed by things and can't stop it until I've gone to the highest level I can take it...which is usually pretty high.
It's been a while since I've eaten crab over at that place we always used to go, it used to be a regular occasion.

So did dinner together.
So did Asia Cafe before that.
So did Horus before that.
So did Diving before that.
Times do change, so do people - if it's good or bad I'm not really sure.
I think I've changed too, I'm pretty sure I'm not as much of an asshole as I used to be...well at least I think so
Perhaps I'm getting old.
It's odd how the dynamics of friendships change too when people get into relationships, especially serious ones. Or even when they move to a different area, groups of friends change, the way things are change.
Sometimes I do miss things, but then again I appreciate how things are now - I've found something I really love in Photography, a way to express myself again seen as though I've gotten bored of Hacking.
Career wise things have changed a lot too, definitely for the better.
The last company was eating me up, making me angry, burning my time, rotting my motivation - until I took back control.
I heard recently they haven't paid the staff for the last 2 months, so it looks like I made the right decision.
Anyway my motivation is coming back and I'm starting to get things done, next thing on the list is to revamp this site...it's underway already.
After that get my photography portfolio online, domain is already registered and the site is 50% developed, it should be coming soon..business cards are being printed for that too.
Perhaps this photography thing might lend a nice little side income.

Ah back to work today, so sad.
Continued from Part II.
September - Archives
September was a fairly busy month and dominated again by posts about my trip to UK and straight after that another trip to Dubai.
UK was great as always!
