Hennessy Artistry at Zouk with DJ Andrew K & Keri
As I mentioned a couple of weeks ago the 2008 Hennessy Artistry parties would be kicking off in KL and Penang - 18th & 19th April.
I attended the KL party on April 18th with a whole lot of other famous bloggers and we partied the night away in the VIP section with plenty of tasty Hennessy cocktails (Hennessy and Ginger Ale rocks it).
Anyway the party was at Zouk - Jalan Ampang right in front of the Iconic KLCC Towers. The party itself was actually down in Velvet.

The crowd where there signing up, those who signed up online, invited guests and VIP/Media.

Atmospheric entrance to Zouk.

DJ Keri was there of course singing with a rocking orange wig and corset..

She looks better in the magazine pics really
But then she has been married 18 years and has two kids - not bad eh?

These two were the only ones really dancing during DJ Keri's set, the dance floor was pretty quiet.

VJ Callen working the visuals.

Bloggers rocking the dance floor.

Keri finishing up her set.

Lot's of teh femes bloggers.

Simon Seow, Jen Kin Yat, KY and FireAngel.
After that DJ Andrew K started his set and the place started moving, he played some pretty sweet tunes I have to say.

He really got the dance floor rocking and the party rocking.

Lot's of booze - yay!

Plenty of hot babes.

Discussing Drinking?

Just Drinking!

And of course happening party people!

The dance floor was pretty packed by then and the party was in full flow.

Ladies were working the podium.

And word up to my British homeboy James!

I think it's only healthy to end the post with some cleavage...so here you go.

It was definitely a rocking party and I'm looking forwards to the next Hennessy event.

Bad Week - Need Some Guinness Draught!
So yeah as I mentioned I've been having a generally bad week last week.....my chair broke - which buggers up a lot of things (lot's of pictures to process, blog posts to write, We Ate This needs updating and so on).
Then I mashed up my car bumper in Plaza Damas looking for somewhere to validate my freaking parking ticket.
THEN my computer starting playing up and randomly displaying a bunch of nonsense on the screen rendering it useless...I suspected it might be the power supply. Will try the new one out tonight, I think I'll have time.
New chair arrived this afternoon though, which is good - can get back on top of things finally.
So anyway lot's of things to do this weekend...but I decided I need some beer, what better than some cold Guinness Draught on a hot day!
I headed down to Blackhole in Hartamas as they are having some promotions and they are completely decked out with a Xmas/Guinness Draught theme, which is really neat.

Buy 3 pints of Guinness Draught (RM23.80 per pint) and get 1 free Guinness Draught gym towel.

The Guinness Draught was good and fresh, nice and cold and poured well.

Nothing like a big glass of cold Guinness Draught on a warm relaxing Sunday.

Have a smooth and Joyous Christmas with Guinness Draught!

Cheers from me!
Guinness Draught itself is also doing some give-aways - more at http://www.guinness.com.my

I love me some Smirnoff black, neat, straight from the freezer - shame mine is almost finished.
It's one of the smoothest drinks around - I always keep a bottle in my freezer. It's always ready to pop me a shot and get me going before I head out for a wild night.

S for Smirnoff

I don't mix this Vodka, that would be sacrilege, I've been drinking this stuff since 1999 back in London. Smirnoff blue and red are reserved for mixing, preferably with red bull - if not then orange juice or tonic water.

Sadly this bottle is getting a bit low, time to pick up another one I think.
I'm not big into flavoured Vodka (you can call me a purist), but good news for those that are...Smirnoff is launching a new flavour of Vodka at the Santuary on 25th Jul 2007.
This post is in conjunction with the launch of its SMIRNOFF® line of new flavoured vodkas @ Sanctuary, The Curve on 25th July 2007. For more information about SMIRNOFF® products, please visit the website, http://www.smirnoff.com/
10 commentsSabahan Tapai - It’s Good Stuff and it’s not Tuak!
So one of Pats' friends came back from Sabah I think, or somewhere over that side of East Malaysia, and brought is a bottle of Tapai, or local Rice Wine (Tuak is from Sarawak right?).
You can buy it for a small fortune in some posh bars in Bangsar, which will give you a headache..but this is the real deal, served in a reused Tiger Beer bottle with a plastic cap!
It's from Kadazan culture I'm led to believe.
Kadazan culture is heavily influenced by the farming of rice, culminating in various delicacies and alcoholic drinks prepared through differing home-brewed fermentation processes. Tapai and lihing are the main rice wine variants served and consumed in Kadazan populated areas, and are a staple of Kadazan social gatherings and ceremonies.
Pat dishing out the goods, the dirty liquor pimp.

Had trouble remembering the name because of the creative labelling.

Lot's of glasses, yay!

It's pretty smooth stuff, it doesn't taste very strong, but kinda gently knocks your head off and leaves you feeling nicely warm and fuzzy.
It's got a tangy aftertaste, I guess it's like a much stronger version of Toddy.
I'd recommend it to anyone 'Hic'.
10 commentsZOMG I FINISHED THE VODKA LOLPLS
Yeah shit..
It's gone.

I SAID DONT TOUCH MY VODKA

It's passed onto a safer place, it'll be happy in my alchohol graveyard

This post was brought to in a Vodka-ish FireAngel way and a alchoholic Paul Tan way, yeah seriously...
Yeah STFU.
