Random Post #7 – Mostly….FOOD!

Living on a budget you can still eat nice food! Haven’t been doing much lately apart from eating, catching up on sleep and watching stuff that is not the World Cup.

Claypot Prawn Rice! One of my favourite things to eat still at Busy Corner in Damansara Jaya.

Claypot Prawn Rice

With a claypot chicken rice, some double boiled soup and a vegetable would be about RM12-15 per person. Still reasonable!

For the cheap favourites, both coming in at RM5 each!

Pork pepper soup, perfect for those rainy cold nights we’ve been having lately.

And claypot nasi lemak with superb sambal chicken, noms!

Claypot Nasi Lemak

Both of the above from Kedai Kopi Matahari in Bandar Sri Damansara. Also discovered some great tasting, value for money ‘western’ food in Sea Park at Millenium 86 coffee shop served up by Freddie.

Hailam Pork Chop

This is the Hailam pork chop, which costs around RM9 and is delicious. Also try the Hailam Chicken Chop and the black pepper lamb chops.

Also headed over to Sunway to help Saimatkong with his car-washing initiative for the TLC cause.

TLC Charity Car Wash

I applaud him for his hard work!

Of course I also watched the World Cup Final…and it’s all over now. With a solitary beer I treated myself to.

World Cup Final

As for fast food, there’s been two new offerings lately. The KFC Toasted Pocketful thing, this is the Toasted Pocketful X-meal.

KFC Toasted Pocketful

The pocket thingy itself is actually rather nice, always a fan of KFC chicken of course…but their fries OMG – THEY SUCK. It’s like munching on cold soggy cardboard. Fun fries my arse!

The other is the new McDonald’s GCB or Grilled Chicken Burger. Rather disappointing I must say, taste is around 5/10 and value for money about 3/10. Definitely stick with Spicy Chicken McDeluxe.

I really wish they’d bring back the Grilled Chicken Foldover, that’s my favourite McD offering of all time!

And of course, the highlight of the past couple of weeks – Mini Driver Training at Sepang!

Mini Driver Training - Sepang

Will blog properly about that later.

wuwu actually managed to blog 3 times this week as I should, hope I can keep it up!
