You may remember a while back around Christmas 2008 I blogged about the LG KP500 Cookie, when touchscreen phones were just starting to take off.
LG has released a new model (LG Chocolate BL40) with a rather different design to it’s competitors – it’s much longer! The really striking thing being the 4″ 21:9 display (TFT capacitive touchscreen, 16M colors with a 345 x 800 pixel resolution).
The brave new form factor makes the phone very striking and it will surely turn heads. It is also labeled by fashion experts as the ‘Supermodel’ of Phones. World-renowned fashion magazines like Vogue, GQ, ELLE and Esquire have unanimously proclaimed the new LG Chocolate phone as a breathtakingly sleek supermodel. Its elegant design is enough to rule the runway on its own. It is described by GQ’s Dylan Jones as “Glossy, sleek and thin like a supermodel.”

The sleek black gloss finish with red highlights makes it feel like a fashion accessory or piece of jewelery more than a phone! Of course it must work well too, for the geek aspect, it comes with Google Maps installed for the A-GPS enabled GPS unit!
If you are worried about a phone with such a huge screen being bulky, it’s not! It’s actually super slim.
Feature wise it also has:
- 5 megapixel camera with auto-focus and LED flash
- 1.1GB Internal storage with microSD card support
- HSDPA 7.2 Mbps
- Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, DLNA
- v2.0 microUSB
- Stereo FM radio with RDS & FM Transmitter
