FIFA Online 2 – Get Your CD Now and Start PLAYING!
I’ve always loved a bit of FIFA, all the way back since FIFA International Soccer for SNES – which was so many years ago I can’t even remember (1993 I think).
I do play a bit of FIFA Soccer 08 on my Nintendo DS Lite too, the graphics have improved vastly since 1993. I like the fact the FIFA franchise always has the original player and teams unlike some of the other games which have all made up characters because they don’t have the license to the real names.
FIFA Online 2 is the latest online version of the franchise, it’s attempting to offer Asian gamers an immersive and authentic football experience. Gamers will be able to build-up and manage their ultimate team in the challenging Career mode, or pit their skills against other gamers in the online multi-player matches. Malaysian football enthusiasts can now enjoy and be part of their favorite football team virtually.
Since it’s BETA launch in October 2008, FIFA Online 2 has attracted nearly 1.7 million players across the regions of Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and Malaysia. That’s some pretty impressive figures!
I got my CD from 7-Eleven – it’s the easiest and fastest way and by getting the CD you also have the advantage of a free gift with the ‘Bonus Item Code’ inside the CD cover. You can use the code to get League Points, Uniform Cards or a Medical Kit. It’s very easy to get up and running as detailed here.
There are some tutorials to get you going first (goal scoring, passing and defense) if you have no clue on the controls (like I did) you can find them here.
After you’ve gotten the hold of the basics you can go into Quest mode and start conquering the leagues and tournaments to win League Points or you can click Multiplayer at the top and get some read head-to-head action. That’s where the fun is!
I had a game and got beaten squarely, my passing was horrific – I only lost 2-0 though which isn’t too bad for my first game…Huai Bin got whooped too

There’s 4 easy steps to getting online and playing the newest version of FIFA, they are spelled out in detail here. Basically you need to:
1) Download the game – here. (Or get the CD from 7-Eleven stores, Starbucks outlets and Popular Bookstores)
2) Register the game – here (Malaysians need a MYCNX account).
3) Install the game.
4) Launch the game.
That’s it!
You can download the game here, but be warned it is 779MB so it’ll take some time – at least 2-3 hours if you’re maxing out your Streamyx.
Trust me, it’s a lot easier to get the CD from 7-Eleven, a Starbucks Outlet or a Popular Bookstore! That’s what I did.

I had the same problem seng. I fixed it by right clicking on the launcher and running it as administrator. I’m on Vista, I don’t know if this applies on W7.
