The Problem With Thunder Thighs – New Jeans!

My family has an unfortunate genetic trait, thunder thighs! I guess most families have something – big heads, flabby arms, balding problems, buck teeth, acne etc.

Ours happens to be large thighs, we are all ‘blessed’ with them. It’s not much of a problem apart from when it comes to buying trousers/jeans/shorts etc – especially if I don’t want to buy those super over-sized obese man jeans..which is not cool! I usually have to have a size or two bigger than my actual waist size just to get them to fit my thighs.

The irritating part about this is all my jeans wear out in the same way…not at the normal places like the butt, or the knee or the pockets – but under my balls! Which whilst providing a nice breeze…does cause some embarrassing moments.

Anyway I noticed the pair of jeans I was wearing was exhibiting signs of wear when it starting getting drafty down there..it was my favourite pair of Renoma! I have two favs, the other is Calvin Klein which I got in the Curve on massive discount (if not there’s no way I’d be able to afford those).

They are in quite an advanced state of wear..

Renoma vs Thunder Thighs

I have another pair of B.U.M jeans which I don’t wear so much, they are in a medium state of wear..

And another old pair from Next in the UK (much thicker) which have only minor wear but are extremely faded.

Next vs Thunder Thighs

Of course the most extreme manifestation is when this occurs.

Total Jean Breakdown!

I went looking for a new pair of Renoma jeans in the sales today at Metrojaya, and you can guess the irony? They changed the cut so the same size I’m wearing won’t even pass my thighs!

Next to Renoma was Jeep though, I have a pair of Jeep jeans and they are ok but a bit boring – I preferred the designs of Renoma. On checking things out however I found Jeep had updated their designs and had some really nice stuff..

I tried on a few pairs and they fit perfectly, not tight on the thighs and no obese man waist size required! I picked up two pairs for RM159 each with 10% discount.

Jeep Jeans

Let’s hope they withstand the Thunder Thighs well! They seem pretty tough.

Don’t worry, more monkeys and Sabah soon – just don’t want to bore you all with too many posts in a row about it.

especially during my hunt to buy a new jeans or khakis
so far i have tried a lot of jeans and i also found out that
jeep jeans was the best for me as it design is more loose at the tight. more relax to me then other brand.
Im looking forward to shop for a new jeans as my jeep jeans was torn (this time at the knees not that usual thigh part hehe). Congrats on your newly acquired jeans

KY: Haha yeah, coming very soon.

ri_must: Thanks, looks like we have the same genetics haha. I loved the Renoma cut – but now they’ve changed I have to say it sucks. The Jeep are super comfy.

TZ: Hahaha just make sure you cross your legs when you sit down.

eiling: Maybe it’s big balls not big thighs, how to slim that?!

Matthew: I like Renoma, Jeep and B.U.M is ok for plainer cuts. Calvin Klein are the best if you can get them on clearance sale.

    Dabido: That sounds painful!

    Huai Bin: Yah thankfully so.

Angie Tan: Sucks doesn’t it, oh well – things wear out…ours just do so in a different way!

So at last I got one from Jeep too, for RM111.95 after a 30% discount off RM159. It was the last one on the rack and it happened to be my size too. πŸ™‚
