Malaysian Dreamgirl Episode 1 Released
Episode 1 is out!
So check it out now, it streamed very well for me - buffering ahead of real-time playback and no lag. They are using the Cachefly service it seems and there is a node in Japan so the delivery is smooth as traffic between Malaysia and Japan/Korea is relatively low.
We don't get to see Ringo's audition, but you can catch a glimpse of her in the last video towards the end.
All in all it was pretty entertaining, Kenny was definitely the mean one and Jimmy was surprisingly nice trying to find something good in each girl even if they were rejected.
I have to say the 'fashion' style of the girls was quite horrible...most of them looked like they just walked out of a pasar malam clearance sale..very few had coherent outfits or displayed any sense of style.
I wasn't there for most of the early auditions so most of it was new to me, I'm looking forwards to the second day auditions episode as I wasn't there at all so I have no idea on the quality of the girls.
Go watch it now if you haven't!

Although they are using Cachefly, but on my slow Streamyx it's still slow and lags. Maybe I need to upgrade to 4MB package...

Worked fine on my 1mb tmnut.
Anyway, kennysia was definately pretty out to be like simon cowell in American Idols, Jimmy was pretty sweet as you said. Even as he rejects a contestant, he dishes out a word of encouragement or advise.
Looks to be a pretty neat show, might continue watching it.

I've got to say, they do have some very slick production values - I bet this could have gone on TV.
Still, I like the way TV is going on the net, even with the shows on Gua.com.my, but wish one day we could have real net TV like hulu.com. Heroes on the net anyone?
