I think there's only a limited number of people who read your blog regularly. People who don't blog usually don't blog surf either. Have to poison more people to become blogger :)

Moses Francis: That wouldn't surprise me.

hippo: Ah, switched sides eh?

Freethinker: Biggest pic in the article :P

spiller: Yeah score some kembang points, that's about all la.

stupe: Nah no danger of any traffic at all, it's kinda hard to read a URL when it's wrapped around this mornings nasi lemak.

eyeriz: Beh paiseh la.

Chee Kui: Yeah I guess most 'connected' people read the news online nowdays.

Azmeen: Yeah it's linked from the online version too. I don't see much traffic from you either (if any?), so you'll have to work a bit to beat it :P

Mossie`Ol Chin: But I handsome loh wan isn't it? Hahaha, yeah RSS counted under feedburner.

Grant S.: Haha, yeah but at least it's got some character :D

dharmamaya: Ah well do stick around and hopefully you'll enjoy some of my pics.

lotsofcravings: Yah la, no harm just kembang a bit.

narrowband: Yeah that's the closest to what I would guess.

Chris: Thanks for your comment, I guess it would be something like that, youngsters mostly read online. Different paradigm of Internet usage now. More bloggers yeah, but still less good ones, especially in Malaysia.

Well, it appears that it's mostly older uncles and aunties who read In.Tech. I mean, most of my friends (in their late 20s / early 30s) don't read the papers these days.

While I haven't got any solid evidence to back it up, it seems that the only section in The Star with a huge following among the youth is the Otaku Zone thingy in one of their pullouts.

Anyways, I think the sort of people who'd read your blog probably already read your blog anyway.

Plus - to the less informed - how would they tell one blogger apart from another? It's not like the early days when bloggers were few and the term itself was a new, interesting buzzword. Now, there are even more bloggers than IT grads.

------

Also, considering how the reviews in In.Tech tend to be of the same level of detail or more than what you'd find in T3, Stuff, Max IT, PC.COM, Click! and even foreign print magazines (like Practical Photography, MacWorld, PC Magazine, etc), I think it's fair to say that all print magazine reviews aren't in-depth, then.

The main problem is space. Unlike multiple-page online reviews, there's only so much that you can cram into two A3- / A4-sized pages with ads and whatnot.

Just my 2 sen.

No spike because we already read you.

I think it's also because most Malaysian internet users (probably) already know about ST. To those who don't, they're probably not into blogs at all anyway.

I read the In.Tech but I rarely go surf the links given. Especially when these days they prefer to use tinyurls.. I don't even bother remembering them, much less jotting them down somewhere.

Sorry, ST, but that was not the most flattering picture they could have used, surely? Marty Feldman's eyes ;)
From the people that I know, In tech is either glossed over, or read then discarded without any attempt to make a note of, or instantly follow up, links. Then it is another day, and it's all forgotten about ;(
Bye bye print news media...soon, hopefully.
