Singapore – Little India

After visiting Bugis Street I proceeded on to Little India, which is located just behind around Jalan Besar.

There’s a Little India MRT station so you can get off there if you wish to visit. It’s a very vibrant area with a lot of colours, sights and smell. With hustle and bustle everywhere, even better during the time I was there was Deepvali, so it was lit up very nicely too.

As you can see it was quite hazy while I was there..

Happy Deepvali

Happy Deepavali!

A very interesting trip, that’s the end of Singapore for now.

I recommend viewing the full set here and even better watch the Slideshow:

Singapore Set – Slideshow.

I’m not sure what’s coming next, I’ve got a few more from UK I think and I went to the Eye on Malaysia last night, the fireworks are fantastic.

I recommend it to everyone, I heard the fireworks finish on February 2nd, so catch it while you can. The information is a bit sketchy though so I’m not sure.

Don’t forget to comment!

I was there in titiwangsa last night too.

They prolong firework session till end of February and it’s on only on the weekend, Fri, Sat and Sunday. I got this piece from the newspaper. hence should be accurate.

Did you manage to get any good shots? We set 10sec self timer, not many good fireworks shots tho.

Little India during the weekends can be the most chaotic experience ever. Learnt that the hard way. At first, I thought that there was a festival going on, till an Indian friend told me that it was always like that every weekend.

Not for the faint of heart :)

meekiee: Yah pics were not bad, fireworks were spectacular. I’ll post some soon when I get time to look through what I took.

tonixe: Thanks! Brickfields not yet, planning to do Thaipusam on Thursday though. I’m going to do a whole series of life in KL.

Yeelin: Yah must be nice now, won’t be going there for a while again I don’t think.

marina: Yah it’s very crowded and hot, overwhelming at times. Definitely not for the faint of heart! Chinatown is much more sedate.
