First time in your blog. Been searching for Make Money with Adsense and came to you.

I have not made much money from Google Adsense either in my niche blog. I tend to agree with you on the Keep Adsense Out of Your Personal Blog.

However, I can point out there are many sites whose primary income comes from making money from adsense. These sites requires to drive huge traffic to these sites to make the kind of Adsense income you can retire on or make a living on.

What a farce!

weeks: Well I didn’t put Adsense in the body of my posts, nor make it invasive so most people didn’t mind it anyway. I just felt that it was kinda pointless and eventually came to a realisation that it’s not worth it. I wouldn’t say I earnt a lot from Adsense..

brettbum: Well the bandwidth cost was much much worse when I hosted in the UK…bandwidth costs there are terrible, now I host in the US it’s not that bad, but with popularity comes price, price is bandwidth in this case But yeah things are changing, personally I think if there are ads on personal type blogs they should be relevant and discreet, localized ads. Not generic pointless ads from huge corporations which don’t really interest the resaders.

I mistakenly assumed we were just talking about a typical blog like site, but as you turn up the dial, the cost does go up almost geometrically sometimes.

I would also agree with weeks recent perspective. Many of the big guys made their money and ran, just as Adsense change their structure a bit as well (shortly before the fraudulent click lawsuit).

So many made out like bandits, partly because the bandits helped the big guys and Google make a lot of money up to the point that it started to scare advertisers away.

Now its losing popularity and so is the mega corporation Google.

but abit the “fake” loh i find this Say no the adsense thing..
in some ways, hypocritical…

most of the popular bloggers advertized for few years thn earned the money from google…thn suddenly voice out against them…
abit the weird right,since u say they slow down ur page,very ugly,distracting etc…
use for so long ady now only realise kah?…

they dun change the way i love ur blog..and all the other nice ones out there…

Grant: Yeah the current wave is paid for links and now sponsored posts/reviews. Something else will turn up I’m sure (P.S. I knew your name anyway!)

Boss Stewie: Very relevant targeted localised advertising is a different thing. Plus it can be non-invasive.
