RIP Granny - Sad News at Xmas
I just found on Boxing my day my dear old Granny passed away on Saturday.
Thankfully it was peaceful, it was her time to move on, I felt I might not see her again after my trip back to UK this year.
She was looking very tired, this picture is from 2005.

I didn't take any pictures of her this year as I didn't want to remember her looking so frail!
This year she was 95 years old, she was born in 1911.
I'll remember her Bungalow always as I spent a lot of my time when I was a kid there.

I spent many hours playing in the garden, a few with my grandad, he died when I was quite young.

I always loved my Grans food, she cooked the most amazing simple things the old skool way.
Like when she made cottage pie, she would make it with braising steak and mince it by hand rather than just using minced beef like normal.
This made it super smooth and succulent and tasty.
Her Blackberry and Apple pie was to die for!
I have fond memories of my Gran and thankfully always will, especially so because I spent every Xmas during my childhood with my Mom at my Gran's place, opening our presents on Xmas morning then heading to my Aunties place for fun and games and dinner.
I always remember how I couldn't sleep before Xmas because I was too excited about Santa coming, so Gran used to give me a cup of warm milk to help me sleep.
I always wondered why Grannies milk tasted funny, I wondered was it fresh country milk from healthy cows...it was kind of nice in a weird way.
I later found out when I grew up...it's because grannies milk had brandy in it!
Here's to you Gran and a peaceful afterlife.

This is a rose from her garden taken in the summer of 2006, her last summer.
Rest in peace.
