Minehead – Part III – The Sunset

After our walk I suggested we headed up to the top of the hill to catch the sunset over the bay, here I captured some of my favourite pictures of all time, including my number 1 all time favourite!

A couple I took from the car window on the drive up.

    Hi, first time commenting.

Love the shots you took. Any chance of having them as wallpapers? Personally like the Harbour at Dusk.

    Awe-inspiring.

Ray: Thanks for the compliment 🙂 You can locate the pictures here on Flickr, then click all sizes to view bigger versions suitable for wallpapers.

    ST,
THESE SCENERY LOOKS LIKE HEAVEN ON EARTH TO ME! I LIKE THE LAST ONE WITH THE SERENE BLUE AND TINGE OF GOLDEN SUNSET AT THE EDGE OF THE HORIZON. FEELS VERY MUCH LIKE FALL IN TORONTO!
SAD TO HEAR YOUR CAMERA STOLEN AND CAR VANDALIZED BY ROGUES! REGARDS

erm, for first timer I think is good, can be better. Personally like the second “The Moors” 🙂

Absolutely breathtaking! Were you using any filters by the way? The colours seem saturated but turned out perfectly good anyway!

if only i can get a decent digicam instead of keep on using that crappy 0.6 megapix phone i have.

great pictures you took there dude. in my opinion, “sunset over the moors” is the best picture. perfect shot.

HOCKEEY: Thanks! It was quite windy and cold up there but really stunning scenery and worth it. Don’t worry car is all fixed up, no one was hurt 🙂

meekiee: What first timer? Please do let me know how it can be ‘better’

Slinky: No filters used, just some subtle HDR blends on a couple of them, I don’t have a ND grad yet.

WontdieonE: Thanks 🙂 Do get a camera soon it’s really worth it!

flanegan: HDR is teh pwn yo!

Hijackqueen: Don’t worry I’ve gotten a better one now 🙂

The Sunset Over the Moors is just bursting with colour 🙂 I like the last two photos as well. Would Sky Explosion look better with some levels tweaking in Photoshop?

Cool photos. Those look like dangerous cliffs to fall down though.

  13. chloe October 6, 2006 at 11:05 am #

love your photos. the colour is awesome, did you do some photoshop touch up or colour correction for these?

  14. tracy October 6, 2006 at 4:37 pm #

So beautiful. So rustic. So peaceful.

Where’s the nearest mall! I just know all that tranquility would drive me insane.

Applegal: Thanks yah, I did try tweaking a bit to bring the rays out stronger but it didn’t work, I’m still on the long road of learning how to post process 🙂

James: Wouldn’t any cliffs be dangerous to fall down 😉

chloe: Thanks 🙂 Not really any touchup, some are merged images, but most are just posted straight up.

Paul: Hahaha, miles away, Bristol I think. But if you want some city bustle you can just walk down towards Butlins.
