Flying back…

In a couple of hours, just surfing on the 20RM an hour Internet in the hotel lobby, things are incredibly expensive here..

The exchange rate is 1-1 pretty much (1RM = 0.994 Dirhams or something) but everything is double the price, no wonder people love taking holidays in Malaysia..

A KFC meal will cost you something like RM18.

The chicks here are smoking hawt though haha.

Here’s my favourite pic I took today, will post the whole series later on flickr, when I can access it..

Frozen Moment

Flickr is banned here by the countrywide proxy, also banned are any URL’s with FUCK in them.

Yeah, amazing eh?

Don’t forget to check DigiSniper – there’s been some great stuff posted there while I’ve been here.

You must be in Dubai UAE now right?

    Dirhams is UAE currency?

OMG Flickr is banned in UAE?! Why do they ban it? FUCK I understand, but Flickr? I’m confused and scratching my head.

The chicks are hot, how hot? Can you post some pics of the local women please? But better ask them for their permission first ;).

Dubai, land of the rich and the horses, hei i heard they are using some sort of robot for their camel races instead of kids. Could you by any chance catch one of those camel races

I checked the proxies and true Flickr is banned in the UAE. But I used a Jordanian proxy and it gets through, Persiankitty.com as well. But the China proxy banned that one, didn’t expect that at all considering there are more chinese looking girls on that website than those from the Middle East. Problem with proxies though, they keep getting switched on and off. Makes it impossible to be a loyal customer and use just one fast proxy. You spend so much time looking for a proxy you’d give up looking for Flickr.

Regarding things being expensive, well i suppose everything’s relative. I bet the locals, not mentioning the expats there are earning 5 times as much as Malaysians in KL.

When I was in Tokyo a simple set menu for one cost about RM40. But the midlevel civil servants there are earning upwards of RM15,000/mth.

    So go figure…..

Tip for those going to Dubai. Be sure to check out Desert Safari.

You’ll ride in 4WD and will go like roller coaster. It’s really an adventure not to be missed. Inclusive of buffet dinner in the middle of the desert. You’d be entertained with belly dancers. Best time to go is during winter: Dec – Feb. Oh yeah, do bring along a jacket, it’s cold 😉

easyrider: Yah man Dubai, UAE, dusty ass hot place. Yeah Flickr banned, I guess there is some nude pictures on there or something. I didn’t dare take pics of the chicks, it is still an Arab country after all I might get stoned to death or something.

stephenstreets: Didn’t have chance to check it out, might try and catch it at the end of the month when I’m back there.

James: Yah they probably have arabimages.com or something as a replacement.

pinolobu: Yah it’s all relative, but when you’re spending RM it’s still painful.

CarolineL: Yah! Everyone has recommended it so far, I really want to go next time, it’s quite pricy at RM220 but I heard it’s totally worth it. It’s around 6 hours long and you get the whole works! I don’t think it’ll be cold now, it’s summer.
