Movie Review - Scary Movie 4 - Ridiculous

Scary Movie 4

Cindy finds out the house she lives in is haunted by a little boy and goes on a quest to find out who killed him and why. Also, Alien "Tr-iPods" are invading the world and she has to uncover the secret in order to stop them.

Wacky crazy film, just like the other 3...Scary Movie 2 was a pile of poop though, I have to say that, the others were pretty entertaining.

It's doing ok on IMDB with a 5.2, not bad for this kind of film.

The main spoofs are War of the Worlds, The Village, Saw, Brokeback Mountain and Million Dollar Baby.

I haven't seen The Village, so I couldn't follow those parts so well, but the rest were bang on and Leslie Neilsen as the president of the US was great.

There were also amusing cameos from Dr Phil, Shaquil O'Neil and Chingy.

Anna Faris as Cindy was great in her own bimboish way, she's been in every Scary Movie since the start, so she's an old hand at it now.

Anna Faris

Carmen Electra showed up looking amazingly attractive as usual too.

There were plenty of stupid jokes and slaspstick humour as expected, the line of the film for me was:

Tom Ryan: [after hitting Cindy with a baseball] Oh, hey, I'm sorry!
Cindy Campbell: Oh, it's okay. I've taken balls to the face before.

Scary Movie 5 is rumoured for 2008, I guess I'll be watching that one too.

If you like this kind of movie, it's definately worth watching.

I'd give it a lame but funny 6/10.

I didn't find this movie too entertaining. The only part I considered truly entertaining was the beginning part where Dr. Phil saws his leg off and some dude mixing his Viagra pills with Pain-Killers.

The movie itself was made to spoof so much so that it isn't convincing.

I think the first two scary movies were the bomb.

I can't remember how many Scarey Movies I've seen ... either one, or two ... I saw one where Carmen Electra was running through the sprinklers tearing her clothes off ... which is about the only bit I remember ... probably says something about me! lol

Anna Faris is really fit for role, bimboish like you said man.

Have seen all the 'scary movies' except 2. 4 was okay-la.

Funny in some parts. Boring in others. The first scene with Dr. Phil was funny. Carmen Electra was mucho hot when she answered the call of nature haha and what really cracked me up was the part when Anna Faris was talking to the Ju-on kid. "Toyota Sony Panasonic." Damn stoopid.

    5.5/10 for me.

    Brenda: Here's Detroit.
[points to a TV showing a destroyed city]
Brenda: Here's Detroit after the invasion
[city is destroyed, but now with tripods roaming around]

Still enjoy part 1 and 2, with Wayans brothers around.

when they claim that a movie is the funniest you would ever see, it would often turn out to be untrue.

    funny how that works.

Jon: I found it pretty good, some hilarious scenes, but very stupid.

ducky: Yah very shallow films, Hot Shots you are thinking of, the original spoof movie (spoofed rambo etc) damn funny, I have both on DVD (Hotshots and Hotshots Part Deux!)

wombok: Yah the sushi sashimi suzuki toyota part damn funny.

Hijackqueen: I always watch a lot of movies, most days 1-2, it's just if I bother to write about them or not, not many seem to comment on my movie reviews, which leaves me with less motivation.

I personally liked Scary Movie 3 the best, probably because Is ee most the spoofs featured in the episode 3 as well.

Didn't like so much for the no.4, find the the jokes are getting a bit old.
