My Favourite Malaysian Foods

Some of my favourite Malaysian Foods.

DO NOT READ THIS POST IF YOU ARE HUNGRY!

You can browse through my food archive for more posts.

Ramly Burgers

Ramly Burgers

Juicy, succelent, tasty, greasy, messy and EXTREMELY satisfying, best burgers in the world.

Bang! Daging double cheese, cherpat sikit, kasih!

The best of the best can be found in the mamak area at SS2, although they are generally pretty good everywhere.

Hokkien Mee

Hokkien Mee

Greasy, juicy, tasty and full of pork fat! How to live without this?!

Washed down with a nice cold beer and ideally served along side another of my favourites...

Ikan Bakar

Ikan Bakar

Spicy, tangy and very enjoyable! (I'm going to run out of adjectives by the end of this post, I can see it..).

I like all the styles, Thai style, penang style, malay style, portuguese style etc..

Dim Sum

Dim Sum

Pai Guat

Another favourite, especially crispy stuff, chee cheong fan and pai guat at the shop across from Ming Tien.

Asam Prawn

Asam Prawns

This is just heavenly...in Taman Mayang

Chicken Wings

Chicken Wings

From Bandar Sri Damansara, once you pop, you can't STOP!

Satay

Satay

Especially those rare places that have tender melt in the mouth beef satay.

Roti Canai

Roti Canai

From SixthSeal.com

My staple breakfast every day. Lovely.

Preferably with dhaal and sambal.

Maggi Goreng Ayam

Maggi Goreng Ayam

Along with Roti Pisang, my favourite supper.

Banana Leaf Rice

Banana Leaf Rice

Especially the one behind PJ state...with mother-in-law curry, hmm good stuff.

Crab

Crab

Can't live without this, especially in Bandar Sri Damansara where it's 18RM per KG and it's GOOD.

I take everyone there.

That's all I can think of right now, I am kind of brain dead though...there are a couple of others but I don't have pics..or they aren't Malaysia specific, like Sushi and Korean BBQ.

I also can't live without Teh O Ais Limau! Especially from Misai.

You're truly exceptionally for a Brit to be adventurous in Malaysian food. Not sure you like mooncakes or durian cakes (dodol) as me Brit labmates spitted out them at first bite.

    Using WordPress WordPress 2.0.2

[...] The result was a fully cooked and very tender stingray meat with plenty of flavor from the sambal paste. The okra on top has a different texture and taste to serve as a very great compliment to the fish. Some sourish and spicey sauce with onion accompany the dish as well. The stuff is so delicious even the mat salleh loves it. [...]

Ramli burger is always the best! Beats Burger King and McD IMO.
