Buka Puasa - Come eat some ayam muda!

It's that month again, time for all those yummy buka puasa bazaars!

Saturday I was really lazy and barely went out the house, so I didn't manage to get the Bazaar, and I rushed off to Subang for Jo Jo's birthday, then went to watch England narrowly beat Austria (Thankfully Beckham steered clear of taking the penalty, although he did get sent off..).

Sunday however I did get my lazy ass to the bazaar to endulge in some treats!

Of course the famous ayam, this one had some fantastic sauce which was kind of like Satay but more tangy with a little citrus zest!

2RM Murtabak! Very tasty indeed with nice curry gravy.

Nasi Kerabu..

Eaten with tender beef rendang, which was a little overpriced.

Some beautifully tasty roast/bbq chicken, this stuff was fantasic.

Half a chicken was 6 bucks.

Of course all washed down with Mata Kuching.

I'll be visiting there again soon, that's for sure!

For the bestest nasi kerabu ever......try the food court at Alamanda shopping centre in Putrajaya. They serve authentic kelantanese food. The nasi kerabu there....garantee sedap!!

I am glad you enjoyed all those buka puasa treats. Once in a year kind of food as they seem to have all sorts of varieties on display.

    You are evil, ShaolinTiger.

You post these lustful pictures, and a hungry, hungry man reads them.

    And becomes even hungrier.

Dude, didn't your nasi kerabu come with all the chopped up raw vegs? The blue rice was supposed to come with the raw vegs, some powdery stuff, budu and sambal. And you're supposed to mix them all up prior to wolfing them all down. My favourite!

  25. Edison  on October 10th, 2005 at 6:47 pm

My NO. ONE fav buka puasa treat of all! AYAM PERCIK!!! i want that! urs looks nicer than the one i bought....>_<

  29. Queen  on October 14th, 2005 at 6:03 am

The nasi kerabu ST, u're supposed to mix with all the vege, budu and the fried coconut mixture. Anyway, it's blue because it's cookd with this fragrant flower/herb. but these days ppl cheat and put a bit of blue coloring to enhance the natural blue of the herbs.

obviously, i'm a kelantanese.. hahahaha come to kelantan for authentic nasi kerabu and ayam percik and nasi dagang!
